The 47th convocation of IIT Madras happened last week. Some 1200 people wore funny gowns and wide grins (or grimaces) and walked onto stage to collect leather binders with laminated degrees. Here are the proud (in some cases not so proud) graduates from the Department of Aerospace Engineering, IIT Madras, who received BTech and MTech Dual Degrees. [The first] Two of these were originally BTech students who later asked to be allowed to get second degrees.
The variation in handshake distance is interesting, as is the variation in the angle of bow: there’s Praneeth, who shakes hands at a very short arm’s length; there’s also KNR, who’s barely in the picture. There’s Mickey, who couldn’t be standing straighter if he tried (I’m not entirely sure this isn’t because he wants to look taller. Sorry, Mickey!), and Muggu, who’s bent some 30 degrees at the hip.
The website of the Centre for Continuing Education at IIT Madras has a second set of pictures of this ragtag bunch (and of every other ragtag bunch at IITM).
